It's been almost a month since I've posted anything. An update consists of about one item - snow! This picture could have been taken any weekend for the last 6 weeks!

The good news is that the weather man said that the weather pattern is changing. The bad news is that it is going to snow during the week this week, rather than waiting until the weekend.

Most of these last weekends we have been working in the basement creating a storage area. We took the section that was going to be my work shop, rebuilt the wall, and placed storage shelves in parallel rows similar to library shelves. We've been able to clean up most of the basement, freeing up the main section for projects.

Another thing I've been doing is trying to get my record playing equipment in order. I bought a new cartridge for my turntable, only to find the turntable broken. It wasn't worth fixing so I purchased a new one. I bought a Project Xpression II. Though I got it for much less than I could find it on the Internet, it still is my Birthday, Father's day, Valentines day, and every other excuse for a gift for some time to come.

I'd forgotten how good records sound! I've also learned that many artists including Paul Simon and Bob Dylan still have new records cut. Analog recording technology has improved since records were popular, so the quality of the sound is better than ever.

The popularity of records is on the increase. Here's some interesting things I have found out about records.

More people in their 20's are buying records than anytime since the 80's.

Records are selling better than Super Audio CD's and Audio DVD's combined.
