It's been a couple of weeks since I posted anything. The only pictures I had were taken by my doctor of the before and after the removal of two polyps. (Benign - next exam in 5 years).

This weekend Dianne and I went down to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, and met up with two other old Chrysler product owners. Chrysler cars from 1955 to 1961 are considered Forward Look cars based upon the ads of the times.

Upon arriving we discovered that a Ford T-Bird group met there. We ended up parking among the Fords.

There was one T-Bird owner that owned Forward Look cars, and owns one of the last completely hand built American made cars; a T-Bird. Ford took a Lincoln, removed almost all the chrome, and re-branded it as the T-Bird.

One of the people in our group, Mike brought his young son with him. When the son went up to the hand built car his dad told him not to touch it. The owner said that it was OK; he wouldn't own a car that couldn't be touched. With that he had the boy get in the car (shoes on the new leather seats) for a picture. I took that picture with film, and might post it is it is cute.

One of the cars in our small group was a 1960 Plymouth with a very rare intake setup. The long manifold improved performance and made these cars some of the fastest of the time. (This picture is for the car geeks.)

We drove around Garden of the Gods, then the owner of the 60 Plymouth had to leave. The other guy and his son went with us to the Golden Bee at the Broadmore. We had a very tasty lunch, went to play in the Broadmore playground, and headed for home.

One of my goals for the day was to have the Chysler work perfectly so that Dianne will start to trust the car. Well, we didn't break down but on the way home we hit heavy traffic. Once the car decided to discharge the battery pinning the meter on the negative side, and just before getting home the engine starved for gas while I was merging on the highway. So much for the car behaving!

On Thursday we are going to Berkeley for a long weekend visit. I'll have something to post when we get home.
