These are the last of the picture from the family reunion trip. On Thursday we leave for Dianne's 40th class reunion, and the next post will probably be of that trip.

After the reunion Josie, Charlie, and Jon went to San Francisco with us. After checking into the motel we went to the Fisherman's Wharf area for dinner.

I must have an old car magnet because the garage where we parked had several old Studebakers in it. The pictures of the cars are at the end of the post.

This old fire engine gives tours. At least Jon and I liked looking it over.
After dinner we went to ride the cable car from Fisherman' Wharf to the Union Square area and back. There was a long line waiting to ride, giving us some photo time.

This guy was entertaining the line with his very beat-up resonator guitar. His bicycle was locked on the other side of the tree.
We finally boarded. Charlie and I road standing and hanging on.

We got off where the cars turn around.
Just an SF street picture. Yes, I'm standing in the street with a cable car coming.
The next morning we got up and had breakfast at Mel's. Jon is holding a cardboard car that his breakfast came in. In another post in the future you will see more of these cars (a gift from the Andersens).

Well, if you didn't stop reading when you hit the cars: See I told you I was an old car magnet!

That sure was a wonderful way to spend my birthday! Jon is still talking about riding the cable car. His wooden cable car is one of his treasured toys. (Which of course means that it has gone done the slide a few times, with Jon saying "ding, ding!")

Love,
Josie
